Uh Oh!

My husband has been working 12 hour graveyard shifts. Only for this week, thank goodness. So, he gets homes when I'm still sleeping. This morning was no different. I reach over to make sure he made it home, I get up and do the necessary and make a pot of coffee. As I sludge back upstairs to the computer room, I find this on my desk...

Yep, an article written by Stephanie, A.K.A. Yarn Harlot about yarn addiction in the November 2004 edition of Chatelaine magazine. Good mag, go out and get a copy.

Now, what is a little creepy about this is that a co-worker of my husband is the one that pointed this article out to him. Ahem, it seems that I'm becoming known as a yarn addict to people I don't even know! [sigh]

In other news, I finished my Field of Flowers shawl. Snag aside, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Here it is blocking...

Yes, that is my handy dandy blocking board that consists of cardboard cartons held together with duct tape and covered with painter's tarp. I say it's ingenious! [g]

Here is another pic, after blocking. I used Zephyr by Jaggerspun laceweight in the colour Chanel.

This is a very simple lace pattern. I would recommend this to any first timer to lace or laceweight yarn.

I'm now off to finish off my Camelot socks...

P.S. Thanks to all that offered to give my sock yarn a home, but I think they like it here with me, all snuggled in their basket.

Michelle, The shawl is beautiful! I love it! You do realize that your yarn loving ways are out now that people you don't know are sending knitting articles your way! : ) That's fantastic!

Good lord is all I can say on the sock yarn! You are a lucky woman!

Your shawl is just incredible!!!!!! That is a work of art. I got a chuckle about the Knitters Anonymous being on your desk. Thanks for the kind words about my Peachy. She is a sweet little gal.

GASP...your shawl took my breath away when I scrolled down and beheld it's loveliness! Could you tell me who designed it (Fiddlesticks?) and where you purchased the yarn, and would you hate me if I was a complete copycat and put it on my Spring knitting list? It's truly breath-taking, snag (couldn't see it)and all!

WOW! That shawl is incredible. It does NOT look simple, though. You did a wonderful job!
