Whoa!

I actually managed to finish a project! I must say, I'm really loving this bag...and I'm going to fill it to the brim and display it with some of my sock yarn stash, which by the way, has started to overflow my second wicker basket. I really should start knitting more socks, eh.

I also placed an order with Knitpicks last week. I just had to have a new gadget, the electric row counter and also 3 hanks of Alpaca Cloud in Iris [for the Seascape Shawl by Fiber Trends]that is a part of their new line of yarns being offered.

This row counter is going to come in handy for me...you see, I have a toddler that swipes the paper and pens I use to mark rows, to scribble her John A. MacDonald on [well, I am Canadian]. This I can tuck under my shirt and hopefully she won't be none the wiser...yeah, I know what you're all thinking...my toddler is smarter than me and will find me out in no time...that I shouldn't be fooling myself. Please, just think it and don't say it...a mom can dream, can't she?

I am quite impressed with the Alpaca Cloud. Nice and soft and beautiful in colour. This will be my first time knitting with Alpaca and I know I'm going to really enjoy it.

Here is a close-up to show the pretty heathery colour of the Alpaca Cloud in the colour Iris.

I must also apologise for being a "butt" and not mentioning where you could buy the knitting bags that I posted about below. You can either buy them at Knit 'N' Tyme, or Double Diamond Knits. Those are the only two sources I know that carry them.

By the way, I've ordered myself the Fushia/Lime bag. Thanks for your suggestions and imput.

Now, I'm off to finish Mariah.

Keep On Knitting...

The bag is just gorgeous.... What a wonderful job. I am about to succumb to the lure of the "KnitPick" yarns. I have been holding off for awhile.

Are you coordinating your blog colours with your finished projects now? ;-) Good job on the bag, good idea with the sock yarn. Are you as much in love with your bag as StitchinGirl??

I have also had a look at the KnitPick yarns - since I have discovered a new love for lace I might go for the Alpaca cloud, too.

I am interested in ordering some Alpaca Cloud...would love to know what you think of dealing with this company with the border crossing involved.
