Recuperate...

Definition: "v. recover [health, strength or losses]."

After suffering the last couple of weeks in the intense blistering, bone-melting, brain-frying, skin-scorching, mind-numbing, make everyone miserable and cranky, just kill me now and be done with it heatwave [insert big deep breath here] I haven't, needless to say, been knitting very much, if at all. So, other than a pair of socks that don't really look more than tubes right now and are just plain ole boring stockinette stitch [but the colours are pretty], I have nothing for show and tell.

I am making plans for my future projects though. I will have another shawl on the needles soon. I've decided on the Feather and Fan shawl from A Gathering of Lace and I'm just deciding on what yarn I'd like to use. There is also a little cardigan I've been wanting to knit for my daughter, so that'll be cast on shortly.

Thanks to all that complimented my Seascape Shawl. It was not a hard knit at all. It just needed my full concentration when I started the starfish.

Another thanks to all those that helped me with their suggestions on how to make socks from a 100g ball of sock yarn. I think I'm a divide, weigh and knit type. Okay, so I'm a wee bit anal. I just couldn't bring myself to just knit one sock, then the other until I did this. I could blame the heatwave for melting my brain cells, but then, who would I be kidding?

So, until I get some knitting accomplished, I leave you with this.

Sheep Dash

Keep On Knitting...

The heat was awful, wasn't it? I was so happy to see the rain fall ... I hope we get more rain soon. :) Rain is good. :)

Happy knitting!

Your description of the heat wave is hilarious....and incredibly accurate! It has been hard to knit, hasn't it. I love the Sheep Dash, except I got so excited about tranquilizing the sheep that I clicked off the page. Oops. It's official, I'm a geek.

Thanks a lot Michelle! I've now spent waaay too much time tranquilizing sheep! That was so much fun!

I hear you on the heat. I'm actually knitting a baby blanket right now and it's making me question my sanity.
