Can We Say Baa?

Woot! I finished my Shy Sheep Vest today. I really love it despite the less than enthusiastic look on my face in this pic. We're all sick with head colds and this is all my sinuses would permit.

Pattern: Shy Sheep Vest

Designer: Mabel Corlett

Yarn: Peruvian Highland Wool - 3.75 balls of Natural and 4.25 balls of Tuscany Green

Several of you have asked where you can purchase this pattern. I bought mine at the Waterloo Knitters Fair, but Shelridge Farms sells it as a kit, or you can try and email Mabel Corlett at mabel at woolroom dot on dot ca and ask if she will sell you the pattern only.

A while back, I set up a poll asking for help in choosing a colour of Country Silk to use for the Lotus Blossom Shawl. The four choices were, Opal, Wine, Autumn or none of the above. It was a close race between the Wine and Autumn colours, with Wine in the lead with 39 votes and Autumn second with 38.

Well, 7 months later, I've finally made up my mind and bought this colour...

Autumn

I am really happy with my choice and can't wait to start on my shawl.

I also bought some gorgeous red Fortissima 6-ply to make the Over the Knee socks from Handknit Holidays.

I'm going to finish off the few projects I have going first before I plunge into these new projects.

Here ya go, Minnie. A pic of hubby wearing his Inishmore.

He's so cheeky.

Keep On Knitting...

Ahhhh...that sheep vest is too cool. I bet you'll get so many people taking second looks at it, trying to figure it out...and how good will it be to tell them that YOU knit it...lol!

I ADORE the red sock yoarn for those delicious stockings!

And Autumn Country Silk is to die for!

You have to tell me if you're going to join the Yarn Harlot's Olympic challenge...and of course, what you're going to knit. I was thinking of doing the Lotus Blossom shawl with my country silk, but I haven't decided. Let me know dearie!

And how cute does hubby look in his Inishmore!

Happy knitting...and get better soon!
