A Decision Has Been Reached...

at least I thought it had been on Thursday night when I last checked the poll. At that time the Culdesac Vest

was in the lead by 1 vote. So, late Thursday night I cast on and here is my progress of the back as of this morning.

A closeup of the cable detail. I'm using Jo Sharp DK in the colour Heath. I've had this yarn in my stash for this project for quite a while. I had originally wanted a wine colour, but at the last minute decided to choose a neutral colour. I think I'll be happy with it.

Needless to say, as I was about to update my blog this afternoon, I rechecked the poll only to now discover that the Marble Cardi is in the lead. I'm very tempted to cast on for this project too, but it's a little warm to knit right now. The vest won't take very long to knit and then I'll cast on for the Marble cardi. Thanks for voting.

Please excuse me now while I interrupt my regularly scheduled knitting content for a personal service announcement.

To my first born.

That's right, I'm talking to you.

Look what mama finished for you. A pair of handsome socks. Just for you.

Guess what?

You have to come for a visit before you can get them.

Life is cruel, sweet boy, but mama can be even more so. So, get your arse in gear kiddo before mama does it for you.

Love you with all my heart,
Mom

I voted for the vest, so I guess I'm to blame for you casting on for the "wrong" project. But it's soooo much nicer than the marble cardi :) Can't wait to see how it looks!

"The vest won't take very long to knit." Wow. I have that pattern, but I've been feeling too scared to even cast on yet! You make it look so simple!

Your work on the vest looks great! I also voted for that one, so I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product - love the colour, too.

Brilliant, lady, absolutely brilliant!

That vest is shockingly gorgeous...and tell that first born of yours to get his feet into those lovely socks!

I've had the vest on my wannado list for a long time. I'm letting you test knit the pattern for me. Hee Hee

The vest is very nice, I love the cable detail. I think the neutral color is perfect, it will go with so many things.

I didn't vote for the vest (just guesswhat I voted for) but it's looking great! The yarn is really making those cables pop.
