Q - From Dandy:
"just a question about the sock... with the different heel, does it still fit normally?"
A - This is in reference to the band heel I mentioned in my last post. I have to say that since I was applying nail polish to my tootsies, I didn't have a quick answer to your query. Now that my tootsies are dry I can honestly answer and say that it fits my heel quite nicely. It feels like it's cupping my heel...like a ball and socket. Now, that's not to say it will be the same for everyone's foot. But, if the heel flap is the way you go when you knit socks and that fits your heel nicely, then I would say try the band heel. Just remember to not come knocking on this blog's door if you don't like it. [wink]
Q - From Carine:
[no email addy, comment got lost in space, no blog, no follow up email...] What the hell, I'll help anyway.
"I have a question for you since you've completed the over the knee socks. I seem to be stuck, I can't figure out what I did wrong! I'll send over an email."
A - Since I didn't receive an email from you regarding your question, I can assume two things. You figured it out on your own, or you got too frustrated with it and tossed it in the trash. Since this is question and answer period, let's just suppose you became too frustrated and you can still dig your sock out of the trash...stinky, yet salvagable.
I'm pretty sure I know of what you speak, young grasshopper. I seem to recall a little weirdness when I started the decreases...perhaps round 4 of the lace chart? Ummm, I of course didn't make notes of it. I do think that it has something to do with it saying, "work to last 4 sts of rnd..." Try "work to last 3 sts of rnd..." instead and see if that works. Like I said, I'm working on memory alone here and well, ahem, it ain't what it used to be. Mind, I'm also working with a pretty blank slate.
Now, because this blog is about me too, a little pic of my newest WIP on the needles.
Marble Cardi - Back
P.S. I'm really behind on checking out everyone's blogs, but I'll be visiting soon. I'm just a wee bit scatter-brained lately.
Um, I heard that!
Keep On Knitting...
