It's a Rather Blustery Day

Oh the wind is lashing lusterly
And the trees are thrashing thrusterly
And the leaves are rustling gusterly
So it's rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be
It feels that it will undoubteadly
Looks like a rather blustery day today
It seems that it may turn out to be
Feels that it will undoubteadly
Looks like a rather blustery day today

*Winnie-the-Pooh -- A. A. Milne

I swear I'm living a scene out of Pooh's Adventures...I'm actually waiting to see him at any moment now, flying by my window, waving and saying, "It's a rather blustery day today...umm, was that your knitting blowing by my honey tree?"

It has made taking photos outside a challenge, to say the least. I did manage though...with some body contortions we won't discuss. Seriously, it would make you cry...with laughter, but crying non-the-less.

Not much to report. It's been a busy week. We need a new roof, so I've been calling around getting quotes, calling references, making sure these roofers are kosher. You know the drill. It was also time to prepare my daughter for junior kindergarten. This has left me very mopey, but I'm being brave. Only a tear or two, so far. Oh, and you will not believe the supplies we need to buy for Jr. Kindergarten! I'm astounded. I also worked last week to make some money for the Waterloo Knitter's Fair. If you see me, by all means, say hi.

In knitting news, my Kauni cardigan is growing and I'm about to start the neck.

I decided to make it longer by about, ummm, 4 inches, I think. I don't remember. [must've scrambled something during one of my contortions to take the pic].

On labour day weekend, I kept my husband busy making me a tensioned lazy kate. I showed him a pic online, told him I wanted to keep it small, and bingo-bango he produced this for me buy the time I got up Saturday morning.

I love my husband. Thank you, sweetie.

Keep On Knitting...

It's been frightfully windy up here too - basketball nets tipping over and recycle bins blowing across the road!

I loved the Pooh Bear title. It had me smiling before I even started to read. =) And the lazy Kate looks great! I'm going to have to show it to my husband, really put the pressure on. And your cardigan is beautiful, of course...

How in the world did you get that cute little sheep to show up in the browser bar and the window tabs? It's so cool!
