Busy Busy Busy...

I've added pics of me wearing the Seascape shawl below

Where have the days gone? I cannot believe that it's July 6th already. It was just the 1st. Talk about twilight zone.

All in all, we had a great long weekend. We decided, on a whim, to take a drive to Niagra Falls for the day on the 1st. It was only a three hour drive to get there...needless to say, the drive home only took 40 minutes.

Our daughter was delightful in spite of the long, traffic filled ride and enjoyed the Falls amongst other sites.

This guy was great. You gotta wonder though, how anyone can juggle fire with a smile on their face.

The requisite tourist photo in front of Guinness World Records.

He sure was one tall dude!

A happy belated Canada Day and Independence Day to everyone. I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable long weekend!

In knitting news, I managed to finish my Seascape shawl! Oh my, oh my, I love this shawl.

Pattern:Seascape Shawl by Fiber Trends

Designer: Evelyn A. Clark

Yarn/Colour: Alpaca Cloud in Iris from Knitpicks

Yarn Amount: A little more than 2 hanks

Needle size: 3.75mm

I'm still mulling over what my next project will be, so in the meantime, I'm finishing off a pair of socks. It will most probably be another shawl, but which one? The Lotus Blossom shawl is still a strong possiblity [I'm still flip-flopping about the colour and I'm now leaning towards the wine, sigh], though now that I bought a copy of A Gathering of Lace, the Shetland Tea Shawl is really calling my name. We shall see.

I also noticed that I've been blogging for one full year! I'm quite proud that I've managed to stick it out this long. I started the blog on a whim, not thinking that I would last this long. I'm glad I did.

Have a great week and

Keep On Knitting...

Happy blogaversary!! :)

It looks like you had a good time in "the Falls" ... We used to go there all the time before we were married, but now we just never get around to going.

I love your shawl. It's beautiful. :) I love the colour. Is the knitpicks yarn as nice to work with as it looks?

Your shawl is beautiful! I guess that's one more pattern I'll need to add to my "must-do" list! I just finished the Pacific Northwest Shawl with the Alpaca cloud and promptly ordered about 8 more skeins for scarves in every color. I really love the yarn and you can't beat the price. Love your shawl. I've just started my first laceweight shawl and I am really enjoying it. I'll likely do others and might give the Alpaca cloud a try.

Oh, that shawl is exquisite! I know you are proud.

I've always wanted to visit Niagara Falls! Maybe one day. I'm down here in Georgia so it's not a one day trip or anything unless I fly. And driving is much more scenic. I love waterfalls! Thank you for sharing your pic.

Wonderful shawl.

And those chomping sheep...

The only time I've been to Niagara Falls was at night and they had the lights turned off!
