Ah, Progress...

Gotta love that word when it applies to knitting. There is nothing like having a project or two nearing completion in as many weeks and breathing a sigh of relief that everything has turned out just fine. I've had my share of trials and totally relate to what Curly Girl is now experiencing. We just have to keep at it until we get what we want...like I did with Mariah. Here is Mariah again with the zipper fixed. It is now officially 100% complete!

You can swipe this pic Jodi.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've been suffering dreadfully with allergies, particularly this past week. I'm a walking sneezing, dripping, watery, itching, puffy mess. So, to make myself feel a little better, I decided to begin my Sirdar Yo-Yo pullover. This is the back.

Not bad, not bad. I'm just concerned with how I'll seam this together once it's done. This is a boucle [how the heck do you pronounce boucle, anyway?] type yarn and I have a feeling that I'll be having a few fits getting it together when the time comes.

On the other hand, I'm almost done knitting Zigzag's final sleeve.

This will definitely be completed this week. The way the weather has been, [AKA: Crappy] Mariah and Zigzag will get quite a bit of use this spring. I do hope however, that some warmth will come this May so I can start a summer project!

Keep On Knitting...

Thanks for the pic! I can't wait to see Zigzag done.

It's miserably cold here too, but I'm quitting with the winter knits, in protest. I figure if I make nothing but slutty summer knits then summer will surely come.

I'm so jealous of the YoYo. It's very cool. And it's pronounced boo-CLAY. The e should have a little accent thing on it, but it usually doesn't.

the impatient one is happy to see gorgeous pics of gorgeous knits. as for the jerk who hates knitters, he has no clue. i wouldn't touch him with a size 50 needle. blech

Wow, the finishing for the Mariah looks very professional...! The color looks very nice! And I love the boucle top too. Beth is right, boo clay (accent aigu on the e). :)

The yoyo pullover is looking fabulous! It is pronounced Boo-Clay, as Peggy and Beth pointed out. Bouclé. I used to call it Boocile (rhymes with Lucile) until someone corrected me one time. *lol*

Zigzag looks great, as does Mariah with the fixed zipper! :)

Ah, I'm green with envy! Progress...yeah I REMEMBER that! LOL! Mariah looks wonderful..so does Zigzag and the boucle (no idea had to pronounce it, other that start saying Bou...and then brush hand over mouth to stifle pronounciation..hehe)

Michelle, when seaming the boucle sweater you might try finding some nice DMC embroidery floss in a matching colour. Blends in, slides right through the boucle yarn and has no slubbies.
