The Agony of Defeat

or perhaps, defingers?

However you want to look at it, the sad truth is I only finished one glove.

I'm not a gold medalist in the Knitting Olympics.

Oh, I'll finish the second glove.

Eventually.

In the meantime, this Knitting Olympian, last place or not, is going to make herself feel better with this.

Over the Knee Socks

and this.

Ahhhh, yeah baby. Socks.

To all those that participated and achieved Knitting Olympic gold, I congratulate you. Way to go knitters!

To all those that left me such wonderful comments, I thank you. It means a lot to me to know that even though I knew I wouldn't finish my project, you were still riding along to read of my "I hate" with these gloves.

To all those that participated and are still knitting away, I also congratulate you. Keep On Knitting!

The glove looks amazing. I think accomplishing one is quite a feat; doubt I would have that one done. It looks so good and at least you didn't sacrifice quality just to get it done by the end of the Olympics. I loved the colour of your over the knees and the other sock colours look very tempting.

Way to go Michelle!

don't worry, hon, i'm not going to make it either. too much flu going around here. mine and my family's, sigh. so, while i finished 9, i've abandoned the knitted squares to do crocheted squares which i'm much faster at, to help my AC4C squares team. i'm actually finishing up my 3rd in 24 hours. sigh.

But you are a winner and you MUST finish the other glove no matter how much you swear at it. It's beautiful! Yeah, take a break but this one deserves the mate.

It may be just ONE glove...but what a glove it is! It's beautiful, and an accomplishment even without a medal.

The glove is beautiful!! I'm sure eventually you will knit it's partner, but for now those over the knee socks are going to be a fun knit. I love the colour you chose for them. :)

Michelle, the glove is breath-taking. Take a break, but be sure to get back to the mate for it. You'll be the envy of everyone with a pair of hand-knit gloves like that.
