Distractions...

are either really, really good...or really, really bad. Case in point is the one distraction from Marlene and her gorgeous needle felted bears. I've been dreaming about making these since I saw them on her site and can't wait to get my order. Yep, you heard me. My order. Thanks Marlene! I also am in love with the bears from Curlie Girl's site. She is a remarkable artist.

I'm also distracted because the Waterloo Knitter's Fair will be Saturday and all I can do is dream and buy lotto tickets in the pathetic hope that I could win at least a few thousands bucks. [snort] Like that'll ever happen.

So, what does all this mean, you ask? Even if you haven't asked yourself that question, I'll tell you anyway. I want to finish knitting my Rogue! Yes, I'm still knitting away at it and I'm very impatient to get it done. I did get the hood grafted on the weekend...that didn't go smoothly, either. Next to seaming, grafting is a very close second on my "I despise doing this [insert your fav cuss here]" list. At first, I thought I'd just straight kitchener stitch it together...well, I didn't like that and undid it. I then proceeded to do it the way I knew it should have been done, but didn't want to do. I'm glad I changed it. It does look good. I'll have to see about getting a pic posted. I do have the sleeves started [knitting them both at the same time] and it shouldn't take me more than this week to finish them.

Amazon has finally shipped my order for, Knitted Embellishments by Nicky Epstein and Shawls and Scarves: The Best of Knitters. I'm also waiting on Shadow Knitting by Vivian Hoxbro that I've had on order since March, but I've heard that it won't be released until December. Yep, it's just one more distraction...

On a lighter note, [like the above was so deep to begin with...insert eye-rolling here] this is the Peanuts character that best describes me...

Michelle,
You are not alone! I have been obsessed with those little bears too. I seen them on Marlene's blog the other day. I have resisted the urge to order some. You are going to LOVE the Best of Knitter's Shawls and scarves. I want to knit about 3/4 of the patterns. Just an incredible book.

Michelle,

ohhh! Those felted bears are too cute! I can totally understand your distration. I've never done needle felting though - I'd have to do some research. I hope you enjoy the fair! Thought sounds so great! Have a good time!
