Ohhhh, Ahhhh....

Yes, I know I haven't been very regular in updating my blog...but, I've been busy with my daughter (terrible two's, you know)...and my dog (she's healing nicely...she sprained her right rear leg, not her left rear leg like I thought...that's why I'm not a doctor/vet) and also [drumroll please]...

Mariah!

She's coming along very nicely, now that I know what the heck I'm doing. [g]

I'm working my way up to the hood. I was knitting 400+ stitches on a 24" circular...can we say "hand cramps?" I went out yesterday and picked up a 29" circular to make the rest of the knitting easier.

I'm hoping to have her finished within the next couple of days...then, I have another project that I'm keeping a mystery. I will give this clue...it is another Knitty pattern and I'll be knitting it with Peruvian Highland Wool in this colour...

Victorian Violet

I think I shall also cast on for a pair of socks, since I bought yet another four balls of sock yarn. Hey, it was on sale and look how pretty the colours are! How could I say no?

Happy Knitting...

she's beautiful! can't wait to see the finished product. as for sock yarn, let's not discuss it. i've got enough yarn for 5 pairs of socks, and i haven't even touched it yet. i've got gifts to finish (3 christmas, and one birthday (feb 2!)) then i'm casting on for my fiance's sweater, and my sweater, and darling daughter stephanie's (i hate not having more than one project, i like knowing if i'm bored with one, i can switch to another) the victorian violet is gorgeous. did you get that from elann? happy knitting

Mariah looks incredible...I am so amazed by how quickly your projects come together! I'm glad to hear your puppy dog is on the mend, and I hope the terrible twos pass by VERY quickly! I'm drooling over your new sock yarn! Have you decided on a pattern for them?

Whoa - seeing your progress on Mariah tells me that I am not using my time properly. It looks great, the pale green is very pretty.

Mariah looks wonderful. The lavender yarn also looks delightful. And the sock yarn ... well, let's just not go there.

As far as the daughter goes ... the "terrific twos" is my favorite stage. Wanna trade for a teen-aged step-daughter?

Oh, your Mariah looks fantastic! I kind of wish I had used a light colour, to show off the cables better...
