They're really 'chronic' though. I'm really enjoying knitting these up.
Not much else happening on the knitting front, other than I've also picked up my Dublin Bay socks again.
So simple, yet so effective. Anything to avoid this...
Yes, the bloody thing has started haunting me. Each time I walk by it, I hear it tauntingly whisper, "I'm waiting for you. Come on, finish me. You know you want to. Mwahhahaha!" I just snarl back at it, "Watch it, you creepy freaking thing or I'll turn you into ramon noodle salad." That said, I'm a little worried about my sanity.
Have a great holiday weekend!
Keep On Knitting...

LMAO! Your whole post cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh. :) The socks look good! :)
say it like hippopotamus. i like the sublety of your version. i've only seen it in highly colorful versions (like my own, lol) but yours is pretty. as for the shawl, either frog it or finish it. it's going to whimper & whine & taunt until you do SOMETHING with it.
and the link is fixed, i had too many s's. sigh. and no, the jaw is not much better, i'm seeing the dentist (again!) on monday
That explains it then, Minnie. I can't say hippopotamus either.
The shawl will be finished...just not yet. When I'm good and ready I'll get the darn thing done. I just wish it would stop mocking me until that time comes.
Don't make me come all the way over there to lock you in a (well lit) closet with nothing to knit but that shawl.
ROTFL! Marlene, that is too funny! Fortunately, the threat was just enough for me to pick the shawl up and work a couple of rows. For this, I thank you...in between my giggles.
I love the socks, love the socks. You are making me really nervous though because I am going to make the FF Shawl this summer. I may have to change those Feathers and Fans to other F words. You and your shawl remind me of the Blair Witch Project.....LOL
