The Deed Is Done...

I am no longer single or living in sin. I do not feel like I'm attached to a ball and chain. Whew! I feel the same...I'm just respectable now in the eyes of my Catholic family. [SNORT!] Kinda a shame though...there is something to be said of an obsessive knitter that is seen as a black sheep. HarHarHar! Here are a few pics to amuse you...

My Rings

I can't resist making my own confection...

Yes, I baked a couple of cakes the night before. I love baking. I wish I could be a pastry chef, but my skin cannot tolerate it. Probably for the best as I'd be as big as a house if I were. We had a store bought cake also...heck, we had a lot of cake at this wedding! I just haven't been sent those pics yet.

So, now that we're done with wedding, I bet you want to know what's up with my knitting and spinning. Not much, I'm afraid. Today was the first day I picked up the needles since early last week and I haven't spun since last Friday. In any case, the right front for the Marble Cardi is complete and the left front is half finished. I even picked up my Feather and Fan shawl and knit a couple of rounds. [Gasp!] There is a reason why I suddenly have a renewed interest in finishing this project, but you'll have to stay tuned and learn more later. Spinning is on hold until my hands are feeling less pain. My fingertips are dreadfully raw from my excema. This is in part due to the season where my allergies really act up. They aren't as bad as last year, but I'm still having the typical reactions.

Oh, I did go ahead and ordered the most spectacular shawl pattern on Monday. I first saw it over at Criminy Jickets and I had to have it. It's the Heere Be Dragone shawl by Sharon Winsauer. I'm really looking forward to knitting this unusual shawl.

If you're interested, the pattern can be ordered from Aurora Alpacas for US$12.00. They do not have it listed on their website as yet, but I just called and placed my order over the phone.

Enough of my rambling. It's time to knit. See you next week.
