The Other Kind of Sigh...

My daughter's first day of school.

I feel absolutely naked. That and I really need to paint the front door.

I'm going to go and have a cry now.

Keep On Knitting...

Awww - that's sweet! I agree with dk though, you'll get to doing your own thing and while summer is fun and all you'll be happy without regret to see September roll back around.

Michelle, thats exactly how I was with both of mine... but I didn't even make it home... I cried when I took them to they're first day of playschool, the first day of kindergarden... and with Naiomi I had to leave fast because I could feel a REAL GOOD cry coming on... and I cried when DJ went to her first day of gr 7 too.. well because she's really grown up now... I'm such a sap. :s

Spend the day knitting, spinning, doing whatever you darn well please and before you know it she will be back home again.

And if it's a half day kindergarten that will come sooner than you might think!

When my youngest started kindergarten I used the free mornings to go to a gym regularly. It worked out great.

Awww. {{hugs}} I only cry during the Holiday concerts and stuff like that.

How was her first day? Lily escaped from the kindergarten area at recess and they had to go looking for her. Eeep!

I felt exactly the same when my eldest first started school - he was so excited! What made it worse was that he didn't look back at me as he went in with all the other new kids!! I had two younger ones to keep me occupied at the time - in fact by the time the 3rd one started school it didn't feel so bad after all! By that time the other two couldn't wait to start!
