This is one time I wish I was cooking a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for 100 people, instead of dealing with this.
I have not knit a stitch in two weeks and after what the last two weeks have been like, I'm ready to sneak off, with my knitting in tow to a land far, far, away.
See ya Monday...I hope.

sounds like you need a stitch & bitch. do you have skype? i'm sure we could arrange a virtual one!
i've never had to deal with bare bones cooking QUITE like that, although when my stove died and i didn't hve the money for another one, i learned how to cook alot in my crockpot, and that the coffee maker makes wonderful hot water for things like cup a soup and hot chocolate (the microwave was on the blink as well, sigh)
Okay - you can't just drop a picture bomb like that and not fill in details. Termites? Too much wool crammed in the rafters?
You can run away to Angus - it's far, far away!
Our kitchen ceiling collapsed on Christmas Eve about 3 years ago. A pipe had a small pinhole in it and slowly leaked until the plaster couldn't hold it any more. Made for an interesting Christmas! Good luck with yours...
I'm hoping things are better and you managed to get in some good, comforting knitting too.
I hope you at least got out of cooking dinner --- for two weeks. What the heck happened?
Wow, I feel for you, sure looks like water damage! That is so not fun, I hope you managed to sneak off for some knitting time.
