Need More Garlic Please

I don't want to speak too soon, but things seem to be settling down. [again, knock on my head]

This time it was my daughter that was ill. We've gone from chest x-rays last week to rule out pneumonia, to an ear infection this week. She's finally feeling a little better.

During all this, I've realized something about myself. I can't knit when I'm freaked out about my kid. So, nothing new to show you this post. Hopefully I'll be able to spend this weekend actually knitting as opposed to worrying and well, freaking out.

So, I'll leave you with a You Tube video that is so much like the relationship I have with my cat [and I'm sure all of you with cats can relate] that I just want to share. I actually wrote a post about his antics last summer.

Enjoy!

P.S. I'm taking Vitamin C [thanks Minnie] and a big thanks to everyone that gave me advice on my toe up socks! I'll just start on the second one and knit to match the first and take it from there. Oh, and go congratulate Wannietta for being third fastest knitter in the world! What an accomplishment!

Knit On!

This does seem to be the winter of endless illness! I'm glad that you're coming into a healthy phase - good luck with that!!

Thanks Michelle!! It was a thrill to have met and knit with the other international champions. I'm grateful to have had the experience.

i don't know what y'all do for flu shots up there, but i do know that down here t hey missed the target by amile, and the vaccination did not hit the one that is circulating, so lots of people who had flu shots still got the flu. not us (crossing every available body part!)

i have to knit, particularly when i'm freaking out about my kids. helps me maintain, so i can think about what i need to be asking about.

glad to hear she and you are doing better.

Good to hear the perk in your writing and know that things are looking up.

You know, substitute a two year old yelling, "MAMA?" and "OUT" repeatedly as he's jumping around his crib and that's my morning.

Sometimes it's 5:45am sometimes it's 8am.

I think I'd rather have the cat when it's the earlier time. :)
