Maintaining...

I can't tell you how many times I've started this blog post, only to delete it and begin again.

My husband has been in hospital for these last twelve days after having major abdominal surgery. I'm hoping he'll be home by Friday. Unfortunately, this is the easy part. The hard part is waiting for the pathology report. There, I said it...and this is where I sit and stare at the damn blinking cursor, not knowing what else to say. I do want to say thank you to those that offered well wishes. It helps.

So, I'll just show you the new knitting project I started. Actually, I started this about three weeks ago and haven't touched it since. I really should pick it up again because I really like how it's turning out.

It's the slightly upsized [44"] version of the Must Have Cardigan.

I had some Briggs & Little Regal in my stash; colour: Fundy Fog, that I was itching to use. I had originally thought that I would knit the Central Park Hoodie with it, but this won.

I also did some therapeutic online shopping at The Loopy Ewe, since I had a twenty-five dollar credit burning a hole in my online account. Unfortunately, I found out a couple of days after ordering that there was fraudulent activity on my credit card. This is in no way because I ordered from the Loopy Ewe, so don't hesitate to buy from Sheri. It's all straightened out, thank goodness, but it was something I just didn't need to deal with. I did manage to score a couple of skeins of Tempted Glam Grrl. It's really weird yarn because it has 2% real silver in it. It should be interesting to knit.

ETA: Got it in the mail today.

This one is called One Night Stand. Each skein is 420 yards/100grams with 63% Superwash Merino, 20% Silk, 15% Nylon, 2% Silver. The silver isn't scratchy or anything. I thought it might be irritating, but the skein is very soft.

This one is called Boop-Oop-A-Doop.

I also received a sweet appreciation gift of a sock pattern and adorable stitch marker. One of the many reasons why I keep going back to The Loopy Ewe.

Good grief, what a crappy post. The next time I post, I hope to be more of my regular self...whatever that is. (grin)

Until then,
Knit On!

Wishing strength to you and your husband.

Waiting is always tough but know many of us whom you've never met are here if you need a shoulder or a listening ear.

It goes without saying that my thoughts and prayers are with you but I'm saying it any way.
