It Takes...

five glasses of wine before it feels better. I had a minor tragedy today concerning my field of flowers shawl and my dog. You see, my dog loves me and I love her...but, there are times when my dog is, should I really use the term here? Why the hell not! I deserve too! She's in the dog house. Yep, she snagged my poor wee shawl and I'm drowning my sorrows in a bottle of wine. Needless to say, it has upset me so much that I started another project. The Camelot socks by Lucy Neatby. I'll see about repairing the mile long snag [yep, it's pretty bad] when the hangover subsides. That is all.

Live, me, love my dog.

Many condolences for the yarn tragedy, though.

Ooooh, so sorry about the shawl. I don't have any pets right now, I only have to worry about the little humans who love to get their hands on my knitting to "try a stitch." Lucy Neatby socks do sound fun!

Yikes! Your poor shawl.

I am so lucky. Our dog seems to have great respect for my projects. She will take great precautions to avoid my knitting. She even gets up and moves if a stray ball of yarn wobbles across the floor and collides with her.

On the rare occasion where she accidentally gets caught in a thread hanging from a WIP, she stops and stands dead still until someone rescues her. She just seems to KNOW that it would mean big, big trouble if she made the stituation worse.
