I Betcha the Theme for the Mystery Stole 3 Is...

Heatwave.

Samantha, how are you making out in this heat? Keep cool.

I can breath today, so I took some pictures of my progress on the Mystery Stole 3. I finished clue 2 last night.

Here it is blocking. Yes, I'm being impatient.

Here it is getting it on with my Hosta.

A close up of the beading.

I decided on using KnitPicks Shadow in Oregon Coast Heather and I'm using 3.75mm needles. I guess that's a US5? Size 8/0 round seed beads.

Yep, two different colours. Who would have thought it so hard to find a few hundred itty-bitty size 8/0 seed beads in the same colour?

Not I.

I'm just using the beads on the left for the outside border and the other beads [the ones I really wanted to use] are being used for the interior design of the stole.

Problem solved.

Now I need to speed read a book that needs to be returned to the library tomorrow. Lean Mean Thirteen by Janet Evanovich. Wish me luck.

Keep On Knitting...

It's so beautiful Michelle! I'm waiting for some black alpaca/merino from Elann & some white linen from Handknitting.com to arrive. Then I can make a yarn choice, fetch some beads and jump in feet first!! I hope that mine comes out as absolutely perfect as yours.

i swear, i'm at least going to cast on for the swatch tonight! (i almost typed that sweatch, lol!). i'm afeared my beads are too big, though! i bought size 6/0, because thosewere theonly ones they had that matched! i did try it, and it didn't look too bad, so let's hope! (i'm not sure about hobby lobby's return policy, lol!

(and my verification word started with DPN. (dpnwebx!) prophetic?)

It looks beautiful! I was going to do mine in the same yarn, with bronze beads and at the last minute changed my mind and went with some pale grey with grey beads, am I regretting it now? Maybe, should I cast on a second one using the Oregon coast? maybe..... :-)

It's looking fabulous Michelle. The pattern is showing up so crisp and clear.

The stole looks beautiful. The colour and pattern are stunning. :) Your hosta looks great too. My gardens look like crapola this year because I decided to devote my energy into getting stuff ready for baby and napping. LOL

I'm doing well with the heat, thanks for asking. So far it has been manageable. I think I drink about 3 gallons of water in a day though ... which makes for a lot of trips to the bathroom.
